Ketchum, ID – On September 17th, 5B CrossFit and the Ketchum professional and volunteer fire departments hosted Fight Gone Bad 6 in the Ketchum Town Square.  On this day, over 2 million dollars was raised by 1100 CrossFit affiliates worldwide, to benefit the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (providing assistance to the families of wounded or deceased soldiers), Infant Swim Resource (teaching water survival skills to kids) and Camp Patriot (which takes disabled vets on outdoor adventures). The 40 participants in the Ketchum’s Fight Gone Bad raised $4000.

With rock concert energy, CrossFit athletes of all levels were set in motion as the square erupted with the words “3,2,1, go!”  Pounding music, an emcee delivering the play by play and a cheering crowd, many of whom had never seen a CrossFit workout before, inspired the participants to give their all.  “FGB6 is a wonderful way for us to give back to the soldiers and their families who have made the ultimate sacrifice in their service to our country.  These... Internationally renown lululemon athletica: yoga-inspired apparel for healthy living, is coming to Ketchum.http://womantribune.com/lululemon-athletica-hosts-salutation-nation-national-outdoor-yoga-event-august-7th

Cheryl Concannon, Realtor with Windermere Sun Valley, represented Lululemon Athletica for its' new location in Ketchum's very own GALLERIA on Leadville Street, nextdoor to "All Things Sacred" and across the street from Atkinson's market.

lululemon athletica makes technical clothing for yoga, dancing, running, and most other sweaty pursuits. They create components for people to live longer, healthier, more fun lives and is one of the most successful retailers today.

who is lululemon athletica?

Founded in Vancouver BC in 1998, the first lululemon shared its retail space with a yoga studio. We've been growing ever since, and our technical yoga clothes and apparel are now at over 100 stores across Canada, the U.S., Australia and Hong Kong. LULU is in the portfolios of...

Thanks to Brad Mitchell's masochistic course selection, the Dollar 10K is a worthy addition to the Summer Sufferfest that had consisted of the Backcountry Run, Shop to the Top and the Baldy Hill Climb. Don't let the "Dollar" and "10K" fool you. I would expect that a front-of-the-pack Backcountry Run racer in the 10 mile version would find that their time in the Dollar 10K would only be about 10 minutes faster than the Backcountry Run even though it's 3-4 miles longer.

There's a good description of the course at the Sun Valley Running website. Check out their Dollar 10K page. I went out with a group of 10 or so folks to preview the course this evening. There's another preview next Tuesday. The conclusion of those who ran it is runners would be well advised to not nuke themselves on the first two climbs as there's plenty more ahead. As with the Backcountry Run, I can guarantee you there will be some spills on the downhills which are more technical and steeper than the Backcountry Run.

All in all Brad did a great... (more)
